Sébastien Germès and Camille Levai are partners in life and in business. They refer themselves as “Artistes Amoureux” and their love of Art, Design and Travel reveals itself in their creations.

Having worked in the luxury and leather goods industries earlier in their careers, Sebastien and Camille decided to launch “CRAIE” in France in 2012. “CRAIE” means “chalk” in French and is a tribute to the class rooms of their youth, filled with fun, imagination and creativity. They wanted their brand to explore and develop new styles and techniques that would enhance and emphasize the beauty and functionality of leather.

The result is an evolving - but always striking - collection of leather goods in a huge variety of colours and shapes. The design duo develop new styles every season, all the while re-inventing their signature pieces every six months with new leathers, finishes and colourways. They then produce their collections with the help of their expert craftsmen in their own Moroccan workshop. And all leathers used are developed exclusively for CRAIE in partnership with tanneries in France, Italy and Morocco. While they are best known for their “Maths” satchel – a cross body bag that is both modular and reversible – all their creations have the commonality of being audacious and playful.

DNC International are proud to be the exclusive distributors of Craie Studio collections in Australia and New Zealand since mid 2018. The first ranges in stores in 2018 and 2019 have had a fantastic reception, and DNC hopes to continue to expand our retail distribution of Craie bags and footwear over the next 5 years.

We will be showing both a Winter 20 and Spring range at LifeinStyle Sydney 2020...with delivery early April (for Winter) and mid August 2020 (for Spring 20).
